Just a few days until Resurrection/All Track 2011. With a bit of luck we’ll have plenty of coverage of the events so keep checking back over the weekend.

Auckland. Easter. 22nd April – 24th April. This is the fixed gear event of the year for the New Zealand people.

There are a bunch of events including; Qubic King of the Hill (Hill Climb), Steadyrollin’ Asylum Criterium (3×3km lap race) and the Chain Gang Kids X Chain Gang Girls 21(km) Alley Cat.

Plenty of social times too such as the Skull Bike Club Booze Cruise (DameTruth Main event), Opening ride and the Qubic BBQ and drinks.

We’ll be riding town to Eastbourne Sunday 16th Jan. Meet at Civic Square 1100am.

Bring some money for food/beers/ferry etc and a pump and tube incase you get a puncture. Maybe a drink too.

Nice relaxing first ride of the New Year – I think a bit of exercise was just the ticket, after all the holiday overindulging. Quick spin down to Lyall Bay, Woolworths for beer, fush und chups on the beachside and finally a pace-team blast back round the bays. Fantastic way to kick off the Thursday night rides for 2011.

Oh and a crazy cold saltwater swim…

I hope you all made a new years resolution to ride more. See you every Thursday, 7pm at Civic Square for The Fixness, The Radness. 2011 should continue to be another fixed gear year.

In the weekend there was a race open to singlespeed bikes from the top of Mount Vic through to Milk crate in town.
